When I decided to pivot into real estate investing, I did what most people do: I sought out a mentor. I learned the "lingo" and the vocabulary of the industry, but I quickly realized there was a massive gap between knowing the words and executing the play.

I jumped in partially blind, fueled by sheer determination, a desire to succeed, and a radical belief that God was opening a door He would not fail us in. We followed the basic steps—making offers, getting them accepted—but then the "real" work began. Suddenly, I was in the middle of fix-and-flips with zero support and no training on how to actually execute the vision.
